
Agartala, 28th of February 2024 : 12-year-old Oindrila Chakraborty, who hails from Tripura, and is based in the United Arab Emirates has been awarded Certificate of Recognition for her story submitted to Oxford University Press Story Writing Competition 2024.
The event is organized by the Emirates Literature Foundation. She is a student of standard seven in a British School. The story was judged by a renowned author, Ms. Kathy Hoopman. She had also earned the third prize in young authors competition held in India and her short story is part of the anthology, The Great Indian Teen Fiction Collective, published by Notion press. Her parents, Dr. Manishankar Chakraborty, and Dr. Aasawari Chakraborty have thanked Lord Krishna, AABA, ELF, OUP and all her well-wishers for her success.
She had published her first fiction at the age of 11. The book titled, “The Adventures of the Legendary Queen”, published by Notion Press is available on Amazon and many other e-commerce platforms all over the world. The book is available in Agartala Book Fair in the stall L. 17 of Parul library, which is being held in Hapania.
