Amarpur, Tripura, 5th of December 2025 : With the joint initiative of Kalai Samaj, KYS, KES & KWS 157th Kalai Rai Balma Panda 2025 mega programme has been completed successfully here at Tuidu Khambar Para under Ompi RD block in Gomati Tripura. To celebrate this Kalai tribe traditional social event Kalai programme committee has constituted attractive spectrum of Kalai cultural reflection. Gorgeous thrones with bamboo have been made to seat their different ranking social administrators on them. All social leaders were felicitated with traditional cultural social honour. In presence of many programme dignitaries Mangal Pada Kalai, (former Rai) has inaugurated this two day long Kalai tribe traditional event.
On this auspicious occasion many stalls, shops and Kalai traditional programme segments have created a massive festive atmosphere in the programme venue. Kalai dignitaries from all over the state have assembled here to take participation in this Kalai people social cultural event. Through this 157th Rai Balma Panda 2025 the Kalai society has launched new calender 2026. Addressing the gather Animesh Debbarma, forest minister said, “To promote and protect community culture, heritage, costumes and religion faith like this community traditional cultural programmes are most significant through which new generation gain inspiration and knowledge. We have to preserve our cultural assets which is our identity.”
Amidst the other dignitaries there were Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia, 23 constituency MDC Sadagar Kalai, EM Kamal Kalai, TTAADC, Satya Kalai, present Kalai Rai, Mangal Kalai, society secretary, Anup Kalai, social leader and many others remained present in the programme.
