25th Annual Conference Organized By Indian Psychiatric Society.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of December, 2024 : With the initiative of Indian Psychiatric Society Tripura State Branch 25th Annual Conference has been organized at Vivekananda Auditorium, TMC and Dr. BRAM Medical College, Hapania, Agartala on Friday (13th December, 2024). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of 25th annual conference of Indian Psychiatric Society Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Treating mental illness is a challenging task. Keeping mentally ill patients well and bringing them back to normal life in a healthy manner is a very difficult task. Therefore, the role of psychiatrists is important. To prevent mental illness, lifestyle changes, abstinence from addiction, and regular yoga practice are necessary. In this regard, citizens from all walks of life and guardians of mentally ill people have an important role to play. Public awareness is also needed. Society also has a responsibility to ensure that mentally ill people are accepted in society when they recover.

At the inaugural ceremony of the conference, senior psychiatrists Dr. AK Nath, Dr. Jiban Chakraborty, Dr. Bimal Krishna Bhowmik, Dr. Jyotirmoy Ghosh, Dr. Sajal Gupta were felicitated.
