Agartala, Tripura, 13th of September, 2025 : With the initiative of District Legal Services Authority, West Tripura, Agartala organized National Lok Adalat, at Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (13th September, 2025).

The third National Lok Adalat of this year was held in the state on Saturday (13th September, 2025). Apart from the Tripura High Court, Lok Adalat were held in all the district and sub-division courts of the state on this day. A total of 31,789 cases were taken up for disposed in 39 benches on this day. Out of this, 24,013 cases are pending in the court and 6,776 cases are related to pre-litigation.
203 cases related to compensation in motor accidents, 249 cases related to marital disputes, 5,594 cases related to bank loan repayment, 1,182 cases related to BSNL bill payment, 23,442 cases related to criminal disputes (MB Act, TP Act, TG Act, Excise Act), 68 cases related to cheque bounce (NI Act), 8 cases related to money suits, 35 civil cases (TSOMS cases), one case under the Forest Rights Act and 7 cases related to employment issues were taken up for disposal.

In today’s Lok Adalat, journalists working in the state paid fines in their traffic-related cases. Press Club President Pranab Sarkar thanked the Chief Minister of the state and the judges working in the court for facilitating the journalists of the state to pay fines through Lok Adalat.
