Khowai, 19th of March, 2024 : Addressing a press conference, Chandni Chandran, IAS, Khowai District Magistrate & Collector said that the total number of voters in Khowai district is 2 lakh 54 thousand 401 voters. Among them, 1 lakh 27 thousand 731 male voters. 1 lakh 26 thousand 670 women voters. This election there are 13 polling stations manned by women in Khowai district. There are 6 polling stations managed by PWD. There are 6 youth-run polling stations. And there will be 13 model polling stations in the entire district. 18 Naka point have been installed in the entire district. Also 8 companies of CAPF battalion have been deployed. Among them, there are 3 companies of CRPF, 5 companies of BSF. There will be 3 strong rooms and 3 courting halls in the office of the Khowai Sub-Divisional.
In today’s press conference apart from the District Magistrate & Collector, Khowai District Superintendent of Police Dr. Ramesh Kumar Yadav and other senior officials of Khowai District were present.
