Dharmanagar, Tripura, 27th of January, 2026 : On the occasion of the birth anniversary of great freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a colourful and solemn rally was organised in Dharmanagar town on Tuesday. The rally was jointly organized by various schools and cultural organizations under the Dharmanagar Sub-Division, with active participation from students, teachers, guardians and people from different sections of society.

The rally commenced in the morning from the field of Dharmanagar BBI School. Holding portraits of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the National Flag, the participants marched through the main streets of the town, raising patriotic slogans. The entire Dharmanagar town echoed with slogans of nationalism during the rally. Several distinguished personalities were present on the occasion, including Dharmanagar Sub -Divisional Magistrate Debjani Choudhury, senior journalist Samar Chakraborty, noted social worker Shyamal Nath, along with many other eminent personalities.

Students participating in the rally stated that the main objective of the programme was to spread the ideals, patriotism and inspirational life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose among the younger generation. Teachers remarked that Netaji’s courage, sacrifice and leadership qualities remain exemplary for students. Guardians also emphasised that such programmes play an important role in instilling patriotism and national consciousness among children. After the rally, a brief discussion meeting was held, where the life and immense contribution of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to India’s freedom struggle were remembered. The programme concluded peacefully and in a disciplined manner.
