Eco-Friendly Living Training and Awareness Programme.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 3rd of February 2026 : With the message of environmental protection and sustainable development, a two-day training and awareness programme titled “Eco-Friendly Living and Sustainable Environment” was organized at Pratyekray High School under North District. The programme was held on 2nd and 3rd February under the initiative of the Tripura State Pollution Control Board as part of the Environmental Education Programme.During the programme, students and teachers were sensitized to various aspects of eco-friendly living. Detailed discussions were held on plastic waste management, use of organic manure, the importance of tree plantation, water conservation, and the use of reusable materials. To enhance awareness, the messages of environmental protection were effectively conveyed through visual displays and practical examples.

Addressing at the event, In-charge Headmaster of Pratyekray High School, Ujjwal Nath, stated that students play a crucial role in protecting the environment. He emphasized that significant environmental change can be achieved through small changes in daily habits. He urged everyone to become conscious from now on in order to gift a green and healthy environment to future generations.The teachers present also expressed the opinion that such initiatives would play an important role in enhancing environmental awareness among students.
