Mumbai, Maharashtra, 5th of February, 2026 : When worldly colours fade and renunciation emerges as the deepest hue, a celebration is born that touches not just the eyes, but the soul. The Sanyam Rang Utsav, launched in Mumbai on the occasion of the 64 Diksha Mahotsav, stands as a living embodiment of this profound spiritual awakening. For the first time, Mumbai has become the sacred stage for an event where devotion, discipline, detachment, and inner joy converge into a transformative spiritual experience.

On February 4, at the break of dawn, more than 700 Jain monks and nuns made their auspicious entry into the specially created Spiritual City, marking a historic beginning to the 64 Diksha Mahotsav. The sight was deeply moving—renunciation, penance, and restraint appeared alive in every step, every chant, and every silent blessing.

The grand entry procession witnessed the participation of 64 Diksha aspirants, who arrived from various states across India along with their families. Emotions of pride, reverence, and heartfelt blessings were clearly visible in the eyes of parents and relatives, as worldly bonds gracefully made way for a higher spiritual calling.

The Spiritual City was formally inaugurated by US-based philanthropist Rajeshbhai Shah, who, through his generous contribution, also earned the honour of inaugurating the Diksha Mandap. His gesture reflected the spirit of selfless service that forms the foundation of Jain philosophy.

On this auspicious occasion, a special exhibition curated by the Adhyatma Parivar Foundation was opened to the public. The exhibition showcased the organization’s monumental contributions to the Jain Shasan, presenting inspiring, artistic, and thought-provoking displays that guide human life toward purpose, restraint, and inner clarity. Visitors found themselves immersed in reflections on ethical living and spiritual awakening.

Adding to the fervour of faith and courage, the Jain Shasan Shauryagatha was also inaugurated on the same day. Each one-hour presentation has been drawing thousands of devotees, offering a powerful narrative of valour, sacrifice, and the glorious legacy of Jain history, while instilling renewed enthusiasm for the protection of Dharma.

The afternoon of the first day witnessed the ceremonial decoration of the Diksha implements of the 64 aspirants—a symbolic preparation for the sacred path of renunciation. This was followed by the ritual of adorning the Diksha garments with saffron auspicious tilak, and a culturally rich Mehndi ceremony for the Diksha aspirants, held in a melodious and celebratory atmosphere that beautifully balanced joy with solemnity.

As evening descended, a specially organized Bhakti Sandhya captivated devotees with devotional fervour and spiritual melodies. The night culminated in the deeply moving Vandoli of the 64 Mumukshu Ratnas, where thousands gathered to witness and participate in an atmosphere filled with detachment, devotion, and silent reverence.

By the end of its very first day, the Sanyam Rang Utsav had already proven that when devotion transforms into celebration and renunciation becomes its very core, an event transcends memory and becomes a lasting spiritual imprint. What unfolded in Mumbai was not merely a festival—but a profound journey from the material to the eternal.
