Ampi, Tripura, 15th of February 2026 : With the initiative of Kalai Samaj Foundational Stone Laying Ceremony of a new community hall construction for the Kalai people has been conducted here in Tuidu community hall in Ampi Nagar, Gomati Tripura today. On this occasion a large number of Kalai social administrators and Kalai people from different parts of the state have assembled here in the programme. In presence of many distinguished dignitaries Bubagra Sri Pradyut Kishore Debbarman has inaugurated the programme.
Aiming to uplift the Kalai tribe in social fraternity, education, economic, traditional culture etc through social development Bubagra has unveiled the foundation stone for new community hall for the Kalai people here in Tuidu. Addressing the huge gathering Bubagra has said, “The ADC administration is fully dedicated to generate favourable economic status, social prosperity and communal harmony for the all indigenous communities living in TTAADC. The new community hall construction will be initiated shortly for the Kalai people here at Tuidu. The hall will be utilized in miscellaneous social occasions to promote the social and cultural assets of the tribe ahead.”
On the other hand, as a social administrative power emblem Bubagra has provided swords to the Kalai social administrators through this programme. As per the report, to strengthen the social integration and social prosperity the ADC administration has managed 4 crores rupees for this new community hall construction for the Kalai people of Tuidu. Amidst the other distinguished participants there were Kamal Kalai, EM, Sadagar Kalai, Ampi 23 constituency MDC, Pathan Lal Jamatia, Ampi 41 constituency MLA, Satya Kalai, Kalai Rai, Anup Ka.
