Elderly Accused Rescued After Falling Ill In Court Premises, Fire Service Swift Action Saves Life.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 25th of February, 2026 : A brief commotion broke out at the court premises in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, on Wednesday at around 11 a.m., after an accused person suddenly fell critically ill. People present at the court immediately informed the Dharmanagar Fire Service Department.Upon receiving the information, a rescue team from the fire department promptly reached the spot, assessed the situation, and shifted the ailing accused to Dharmanagar District Hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses stated that a major mishap was averted due to the swift response of the fire service personnel.

According to a fire department official, the accused has been identified as Faizur Rahman (65), a resident of the Padmabil area under Panisagar subdivision. He reportedly fell ill while attending court proceedings.He is currently undergoing treatment at Dharmanagar District Hospital, where doctors are closely monitoring his condition. Although the incident caused temporary tension within the court premises, the situation soon returned to normal.
