The residential training programme, conducted from 16th February to 27th February 2026 at the RUDSETI campus in AD Nagar, West Tripura, provided completely free food, accommodation, training materials, and practical sessions to all selected candidates. The initiative reflects RUDSETI’s commitment to supporting unemployed youth from economically weaker sections without any financial burden.
Out of 56 applicants, 33 candidates from rural BPL families were selected and enrolled. All 33 participants successfully completed the intensive residential training programme.

The training covered preparation of a wide range of fast food and bakery products including fruit cakes, chocolates, biscuits, namkeen items, cupcakes, jar cakes, and other popular snack items. Hands-on practical sessions were conducted by Master Trainer Ms. Chaiti Dey, enabling participants to gain real-time production skills.
The entire programme was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Rashmi Baidya, Senior Faculty of RUDSETI, with active support from faculty member Hopereng Debbarma. Biometric attendance and MIS management were systematically handled by Sri Mithil Karmakar, Office Assistant of the institute.

Apart from technical training, the participants received Entrepreneurship Development inputs, motivational guidance, and exposure to successful entrepreneur interactions to strengthen their confidence and business planning capabilities. The candidates were mobilised through Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes at village level and social media outreach initiatives.

Director Siddhartha Khan appreciated the dedicated efforts of the faculty team and congratulated the trainees for their sincere participation. He distributed certificates to all successful candidates and encouraged them to establish their own micro-enterprises.

The Canara Bank–led RUDSETI continues to play a transformative role in nurturing grassroots entrepreneurs by offering free, structured, and residential skill training programmes for unemployed youth in the 18–50 years age group, thereby contributing significantly to sustainable livelihood generation in Tripura.
