Left Front Intensifies Campaign For Dharmanagar By-Election; Candidate Amitabh Dutta Leads Door-To-Door Outreach.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 10th of March, 2026 : The Left Front has launched an intensive campaign ahead of the upcoming by-election to the 56 Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency. On Monday, the Tripura CPI(M) State Committee officially announced Amitabh Dutta as the party’s candidate for the Dharmanagar by-poll. Soon after the announcement, Left Front leaders and workers wasted no time and began their campaign activities from Tuesday morning.On Tuesday, a door-to-door campaign was launched in the Agalapur Bazaar area of western Dharmanagar town. Accompanied by candidate Amitabh Dutta, Left Front workers and supporters interacted directly with residents across the locality. They spoke to people in the market area and surrounding neighborhoods, listened to their concerns, and highlighted the policies and commitments of the Left Front.During the campaign, a noticeable gathering of people was seen in and around Agalapur Bazaar. Many residents greeted the candidate and shared various issues affecting the locality. According to some local residents, long-standing problems in the area have remained unresolved for years, creating a desire for change among the people.

Leaders and workers participating in the campaign stated that they are receiving a positive response from the public. They believe that the enthusiasm and support shown by ordinary citizens indicate a strong possibility of victory for the Left Front in the upcoming election.In the coming days, the Left Front plans to continue its campaign across different parts of Dharmanagar through door-to-door outreach, small street meetings, and public interaction programmes.
