Health And Hygiene Camp Held At Jubarajnagar During International Women’s Day Week.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 11th of March, 2026 : On the occasion of International Women’s Day Week, a Health and Hygiene Camp was successfully organized by Alor Dishari CLF under the Jubarajnagar RD Block. The camp aimed to increase health awareness among women and adolescent girls and promote proper hygiene practices.The program was attended by the Chairperson of Jubarajnagar RD Block, the Block Development Officer (BDO), the Pradhan of Tilthai Gram Panchayat, Dr. Nilima Sarkar, and Rekha Debnath, President of Alor Dishari CLF. Members of various Self Help Groups (SHGs), CLF representatives, and many people from the local community also participated in the event. Among others present was Livestock Coordinator Lipika Das, along with several field-level workers.

During the program, the guests spoke about the importance of women’s health awareness, proper nutrition, and the prevention of child marriage. They emphasized that ensuring women’s health and awareness is essential for building a healthy and progressive society.Free health check-ups were conducted for the participants during the camp. These included blood pressure tests and blood sugar tests. Sanitary napkins, Dettol, and some essential medicines were also distributed among the women present.In addition, an awareness session on the HPV vaccine for girls under the age of 15 was organized. The importance of the vaccine in preventing cervical cancer was highlighted, and parents were encouraged to become more aware of this preventive measure.

According to the organizers, such initiatives play an important role in enhancing women’s health awareness and helping to build a healthier, more aware, and empowered society.
