Dream Tennis Cricket League Kicks Off From Kurukshetra With Grand Ceremony .

Mumbai, Maharashtra, 15th of March 2026 : The historic land of Kurukshetra in Haryana is all set to witness a fresh wave of sporting excitement as the Dream Tennis Cricket League (Season-1, North Zone) was officially launched in a grand ceremony. The event became even more special with the presence of renowned cricket commentator and former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra as the chief guest. His presence added prestige to the occasion and inspired young players aspiring to make a mark in cricket.

The grand launch ceremony was held in Umri, Kurukshetra, where the organizers unveiled the official poster and jerseys of the league. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from cricket lovers, budding players and local sports enthusiasts. Chairman Somnath Gaba, founder Ravi Kumar Gaba, Vinay Kamboj and several dignitaries from Haripur (Yamunanagar) and surrounding regions were also present on the occasion.

The Dream Tennis Cricket League will be held from June 16 to June 21 in Samana Bahu, Kurukshetra, and will feature talented players from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The organizers aim to establish the tournament as one of the prominent tennis cricket competitions in the North Zone, creating a strong platform for emerging players.

After unveiling the league’s poster and jerseys, Aakash Chopra interacted with players and cricket fans, sharing insights from his cricketing journey. He said that if a player has talent, he deserves a platform to showcase it, and leagues like this play a crucial role in providing such opportunities. According to him, tennis cricket has gained tremendous popularity and passion among people, and initiatives like the Dream Tennis Cricket League can help many talented players fulfill their dreams.

He further added that cricket lives in the hearts of millions in India and tournaments like these help bring forward hidden talent from rural and small-town areas. He also encouraged young players to maintain dedication, discipline and true sportsmanship in their journey.

League Chairman Somnath Gaba stated that the tournament is recognized by the Tennis Cricket Sports Federation and is being organized with the support of the Tennis Cricket Sports Association Haryana, while Ultimate Event Makers LLP will manage the event operations. A total of 12 teams will participate in the league, with each team comprising 11 players, including one player above the age of 35.

Founder Ravi Kumar Gaba said that the primary aim of the league is to provide a platform for players to showcase their talent and to encourage sports enthusiasm among youth. He also announced that the selection trials will begin on April 15 in Rajasthan.

During the ceremony, Aakash Chopra also honored cricketers Rohit Chandigarhya, Ashu (Yamunanagar), Aman Manjhi, Danny Mandi and Prince Kamboj with mementos, recognizing their contribution and passion for the sport. The event concluded with great enthusiasm and optimism for the upcoming league, which is expected to bring thrilling matches and new sporting opportunities to the region.
