Dharmanagar, Tripura, 15th of March, 2026 : To increase voter awareness and encourage active participation in the democratic process, a special Art Festival was held in Dharmanagar on Sunday as part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme. The event was organized by the Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Administration at the Vivekananda Sardha Shatabarshiki Bhavan.

The programme was attended by the District Magistrate of North District, Chandni Chandran, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Dharmanagar, Devayani Choudhury, along with other administrative officials and distinguished personalities.Students and young artists from various schools participated in the festival, presenting creative artworks highlighting the importance of exercising voting rights, the values of democracy, and the message of responsible voting. Through their paintings, the children depicted different aspects of democracy and reflected the sense of responsibility that voters carry in a democratic society.Officials stated that the main objective of such creative initiatives is to build voter awareness among the younger generation and convey the importance of voting to the general public.The event concluded in a festive atmosphere, with enthusiastic participation from young artists, making the entire venue lively and vibrant.
