Dharmanagar, Tripura, 21st of March, 2026 : The sacred Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were offered on Saturday at around 9:00 AM at the Eidgah ground located on DNV Road in Dharmanagar town of North Tripura. From early morning, devout members of the Muslim community, dressed in new clothes, began arriving in large numbers at the Eidgah premises. Even before the prayers commenced, the entire area was filled with thousands of people, creating a unique and spiritually vibrant atmosphere.The prayers were conducted under the guidance of the Imam. After the Namaz, special prayers were offered for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the nation, the state, and society as a whole. The gathering also prayed for global peace and the welfare of humanity. Following the prayers, people warmly embraced each other and exchanged greetings of “Eid Mubarak,” presenting a heartwarming scene of unity and brotherhood.

Devotees from various parts of Dharmanagar subdivision gathered at the Eidgah ground on this occasion. Along with youth, a significant number of elderly people were also present. The joy of Eid was especially visible among children, who celebrated the occasion in new attire and festive excitement.

Meanwhile, an informal marketplace sprang up along the road in front of the Eidgah ground. Local vendors set up stalls selling a variety of items including toys, balloons, sweets, and snacks. Crowds gathered to shop, with children particularly drawn to the colorful toys and balloons.The administration had made elaborate security arrangements for the occasion. The entire area remained peaceful and well-organized under police supervision. Special measures were also taken to regulate traffic, ensuring that the public faced no inconvenience.Overall, Eid-ul-Fitr in Dharmanagar was celebrated with deep religious devotion and joyous enthusiasm. The festival not only reflected spiritual significance but also stood as a shining example of communal harmony and brotherhood.
