Agartala, Tripura, 23rd of March, 2026 : With the aim of contesting the by-election in the 56-Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency, three candidates submitted their nomination papers today. They are BJP candidate Jahar Chakraborty, INC-nominated candidate Chayan Bhattacharjee, and SUCI(C) candidate Sanjoy Chowdhury. They submitted their nomination papers to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Dharmanagar subdivision and Returning Officer, Debjani Choudhury.
It is to be noted that today was the last day for filing nomination papers. A total of six candidates have submitted their nominations to contest the by-election in the 56-Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency. This information was provided by the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Dharmanagar.
