Dharmanagar, Tripura, 24th of March 2026 : The traditional Basanti Puja is being celebrated with great enthusiasm this year as well at the historic Chandipur Bhairab Thali, located in the Chandipur area under Kailashahar subdivision. The festivities began on Monday with the auspicious occasion of Maha Panchami, bringing a vibrant festive atmosphere across the entire locality.
Organized through the active efforts of the Chandipur Bhairab Thali Puja Committee along with the support of local residents, the event has already generated immense excitement among devotees. The temple has been beautifully decorated with attractive lighting, drawing the attention of visitors.
According to the Puja Committee, the main rituals will commence from Tuesday, on the occasion of Shashthi. From Saptami to Navami, arrangements have been made to serve Maha Prasad to devotees every day.Beyond religious rituals, the celebration has also added a cultural dimension. Every evening, various cultural programs—featuring music, dance, and recitation—will be organized with participation from local artists. This has created a harmonious blend of devotion and entertainment in Chandipur.
Subrata Baidya, a member of the Puja Committee, stated, “This puja is not just a religious event; it symbolizes unity and harmony in the Chandipur area. Our main goal is to share joy together.”Overall, Chandipur Bhairab Thali has turned into a vibrant gathering place centered around the worship of Goddess Basanti, where religion, culture, and social bonding are beautifully intertwined. Locals are hopeful that the festive spirit will grow even stronger in the coming days.
