Dharmanagar, Tripura, 1st of April, 2026 : With the upcoming Dharmanagar Assembly by-election approaching, political activities are intensifying rapidly. As the polling day draws nearer, various political parties have stepped up efforts to strengthen their organizational base. In this backdrop, the BJP Dharmanagar Mandal organized a meeting under the banner of the “Shakti Swaroopa Yatra,” which witnessed significant enthusiasm among party workers and supporters.
The meeting was held at Vivekananda Sardha Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Dharmanagar and was attended by Teliamura MLA and Chief Whip of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Kalyani Roy. Also present were North District Mahila Morcha President Rupali Adhikari, Dharmanagar Mahila Morcha President Jayanti Bhattacharya, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Aparna Nath, Minister Sudhangshu Das, BJP candidate Jahar Chakraborty, and election in-charge Mithilesh Tiwari, an MLA from Bihar.Other attendees included BJP Mandal President Shyamal Nath, OBC Morcha President Malina Debnath, BJP State Vice President Tapas Bhattacharya, along with several party leaders and workers. The venue echoed with party slogans and was decorated with party flags, reflecting the party’s organizational strength ahead of the by-election.During the meeting, leaders urged voters to ensure a decisive victory for the BJP candidate in the upcoming by-election. They also highlighted the achievements of both the state and central governments, seeking public support. Special emphasis was placed on women’s empowerment and strengthening the party’s grassroots organization through the “Shakti Swaroopa Yatra.”
Overall, political analysts believe that this initiative by the BJP has further intensified the political atmosphere in Dharmanagar ahead of the by-election.
