Mumbai, Maharashtra, 6th of April, 2026 : The glittering world of reality television is once again under scrutiny, as actress and model Sonali Raut has made a series of startling allegations against the makers of Bigg Boss Marathi 6. Her revelations have sparked widespread debate about the conditions contestants endure behind the scenes of popular reality shows.
According to Raut, life inside the house was far from glamorous. She alleged that contestants were subjected to unhygienic living conditions, food shortages, sleep deprivation, and constant mental and physical stress—factors that significantly impacted her health and well-being.
Detailing her experience, Raut claimed that the kitchen was infested with rats and that cockroaches were found in the food. Limited resources further worsened the situation, forcing contestants to survive in what she described as extremely uncomfortable circumstances. She also pointed out that 17 participants were made to share a single washroom, which lacked proper cleanliness and hygiene.
The actress further alleged that basic personal necessities such as towels, bedsheets, and other essential items had to be shared among contestants, increasing the risk of infections. She revealed that she contracted scabies during her stay in the house—a condition that reportedly continued to affect her even after leaving the show.
Raut also raised concerns about inadequate medical facilities, claiming that her repeated appeals regarding her health were ignored by the production team. Her statements have intensified concerns about contestant safety and the ethical responsibilities of reality show producers.
While there has been no official response from the makers so far, Raut’s revelations have undoubtedly ignited a fresh conversation around the reality TV industry—questioning whether entertainment is being prioritized at the cost of human dignity and safety.
