
Agartala, Tripura, 8th of April, 2026 : Tripura Budget For 2026-27.
1. In 2026-27 BE, an amount of Rs. 34,212.31 Cr has been kept, which shows growth of 5.52% over BE 2025-26.
2. Supplementary grant is placed for approval of Rs. 4,676.81 Cr.
3. More thrust on Capital Expenditure for giving a boost to the economy. The Capital Expenditure is projected at Rs. 8,945.92 Crore in BE 2026-27 with an increase of 13.19% over BE 2025-26.
4. No new taxes proposed in the budget.
5. Allocation of Rs. 2441.50 Cr for Health sector with an increase of 25.29% over BE 2025-26.
6. Allocation of Rs. 4094.57 Cr for Rural Development with an increase of 17.50% over BE 2025-26.
7. Allocation of Rs. 1985.61 Cr for Agri. & allied sector with an increase of 5.31% over BE 2025-26.
8. Allocation of Rs. 6439.56 Cr for Education sector with an increase of 4.43% over BE 2025-26.
9. 60 new rural markets under Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department and 100 Farmers’ Advisory Centres cum Agricultural Sub-seed Stores and 30 Farmers’ Knowledge Centres.
10. An Agriculture Farm Machinery Promotion & Training Institute at Mohanpur. West Tripura.
11. Market sheds at 30 locations to strengthen marketing infrastructure of Horti-produce.
12. An Animal/Pet Critical Care Unit and Blood Bank at Abhoynagar State Veterinary Hospital.
13. A Feed Analytical Laboratory for livestock and poultry feed at Agartala.
14. Establishment of Tripura State Fisheries Awareness Centre at Gurkhabasti, Agartala and 4 Pisciculture Knowledge Centres at Kumarghat, Kamalpur, Sabroom and Belonia.
15. Construction of new 12 High and Higher Secondary schools buildings.
16. Establishment of Tripura Government Technical University and Tripura Government Women’s University.
17. New academic buildings at Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar College at Belonia, Government Degree College at Karbook, Ramthakur College at Agartala and new academic building for Government Degree College at Old Agartala.
18. Construction of 1000 seated auditorium at Ramthakur College campus.
19. A new indoor gymnasium hall at Netaji Subhas Regional Coaching Centre, Agartala.
20. A 30,000-capacity gallery at Dasarath Deb State Sports Complex, Badharghat.
21. Publication and promotion of Books, dictionaries and literary magazines in various tribal languages in Kok-Borok, Garo, Manipuri, Kuki-Mizo, Chakma, Halam and Mog.
22 A Critical Care Block at Dhalai District Hospital, Trauma Care Centres at Teliamura, Khowai and Bishramganj, Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Wings in District Hospitals and Sub-Divisional Hospitals, Geriatric and Diabetic Care Units at AGMC and GBP Hospital.
23. A new Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Kalajhari under Gomati District and Healthcare facilities at 20 Primary Health Centres (PHCs), 9 Community Health Centres (CHCs).
24. Upgradation of Ranirbazar and Pecharthal PHCs into Community Health Centres (CHCs).
25. A Comprehensive Day Care Haemophilia and Thalassemia Management Centre at AGMC and GBP Hospital and a Cancer Diagnostic and Management Centre at Unakoti District Hospital.
26. A new initiative “SUPRAJA”, focusing on AYUSH-based maternal and neonatal care interventions will be launched at Santirbazar Hospital.
27. Ayurvedic Medical College in Gomati District and Homoeopathic Medical College at Netaji Subhas State Homeopathy Hospital, Agartala with 60 seats each and will start from next academic session.
28. Establishment of the Tripura University of Health Sciences.
29. Two Tribal Multipurpose Marketing Centres (TMMCs) will be established to support aggregation, value addition and marketing of tribal products, aimed at improving livelihoods and socio-economic development of tribal communities.
30. ATribal Rest House at Manikpur under Chawmanu RD block and another Tribal Rest House at Fulkumari, Udaipur.
31. 2 (two) 50 seated ST Boys Hostel, one attached to Teliamura Government Degree College and another attached to Khowai Government Degree College.
32. One Synthetic Football Turf at Kalashi, South Tripura.
33. Establishment of an “Awareness cum Knowledge Centre at Fatikroy under Unakoti District.
34. Re-construction of Maulana Abul Kalam Pantha Nibash at Office Lane, Agartala.
35. Setting up of Smart Classrooms in State-run Child Care Institutions in collaboration with national premier educational institutions.
36. Construction of 117 more RCC foot bridgesfor strengthening of rural connectivity.
37. Construction of a 1000 seated capacity Town Hall at Chailengta, LT Valley, Dhalai and a
Multipurpose Community Hall at Chandanmura GP under Nalchar RD Block.
38. Upgradation of Training infrastructure at SPRC/DPRCS.
39. Establishment of 8 Rural Interpretation Centre cum Panchayat Resource Centres, one in each district.
40. Eco-tourism will be developed in Dumboor and a nature park will be set up at Purba Takchyabari ADC Village.
41. Regional Startup Hubs in all districts to provide mentorship, incubation, and capacity building, promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment generation.
42 A Cyber Security Operation Centre (CSOC) at Agartala to strengthen the State’s digital security ecosystem.
43. Establishment of Tripura IT & Data Ecosystem Zone (TIDEZ) at Chanmari, Agartala for investment in IT, ITeS and Data Centres.
44. A new initiative “NAVCHETNA initiative to promote technology-driven education, introducing Al, robotics, loT, coding, and automation through Innovation and Technology Laboratories in institutions.
45. An AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality) Policy will be introduced to promote the Orange Economy, positioning Tripura as a hub for creative technology, digital content and immersive media, while encouraging innovation, skill development and employment generation.
46. Development of Agartala Al City as a flagship digital infrastructure initiative with a state-of-the-art IT Park to promote Al, IT/ITeS, startups, innovation, and large-scale employment generation.
47. Construction of a building (B+G+4)storied for Agartala traffic unit near Astabal, Agartala.
48. A new fire station at Garji. Gomati Districtand new building for fire stations at Hrishyamukh and Killa
49. Construction of One training hostel at Rs. 10 Cr under State Fire Services Training Centre at Matripalli, Badharghat. Agartala.
50. Establishment of a Cyber Security Tehsil at Agartala.
51. Construction of a One Multipurpose Disaster Resistance Centre at Karbook, Gomati District.
52. Plastic Mukta Tripura Abhiyan for execution of the Ban Order of Single use Plastic items stringently in the State.
53. Establishment of 2 science laboratories under Science, Technology & Environment Department at Kumarghat, Unakoti District and at Dhwajanagar, Udaipur, Gomati District.
54. Construction of a new Industrial Training Institute at Pecharthal.
55. Construction of new office building of ‘District Industry Centres in North Tripura, Unakoti, Khowai, Gomati, Sepahijala and South Tripura.
56. Construction of Handloom Bhawan along with Handloom Museum and Training Centre at Indranagar.
57. Launching of Mukhyamantri Antarjatik Kormosangstan Prokolpa to facilitate overseas employment opportunities for Nursing, ITI, Diploma, and Graduate students.
58. A Drone School to professionally train Drone Pilot Operators with DGCA-approved licenses.
59. A Foreign Language School at Agartala in collaboration with Ramkrishna Mission.
60. Water front development of Amar Sagar Lake, Udaipur and development of Twin Islands at Dumboor.
61. Development of infrastructure in Brahammakunda.
62. Newmotor stand at Sidhai Mohanpur, Kalyanpur and Jatanbari.
63. Strengthening of Howrah and Katakhal embankments.
64. Development of an Emergency Restoration System (ERS) under TSECL.
65. Solarization of Government Building will be taken up under PM-SURYAGHAR.
66. 400 KL water reservoir along with DTW & IRP to strengthen water storage and distribution capacity for improved water supply services in ULBs under North Tripura District.
