Sonamura, Tripura, 23rd of April 2026 : Sonamura Police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total 24 Nos Eskuf cough syrup and 31 Kg Dry Cannabis (Ganja) at N C Nagar border road, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Wednesday (22nd April, 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station recovered and seized total 24 Nos Eskuf cough syrup and 31 Kg Dry ganja . After that, it was seized following all legal formalities as unclaimed.
The destination market value of the 24 Nos Eskuf cough syrup and 31 Kg Dry Cannabis (Ganja) is approximately to be six lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal seizes ganja.
OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
