Dharmanagar, Tripura, 23rd of April 2026 : The District Magistrate and Collector of North Tripura, Chandni Chandran, visited Thumsaraipara under Damcherra RD Block on Wednesday (22nd April, 2026). She was accompanied by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Panisagar, the BDO of Damcherra, the SDO of DWS, the Officer-in-Charge of Damcherra Police Station, and several other administrative officials.

During the visit, the District Magistrate interacted directly with local residents. While the villagers highlighted various issues, the most pressing concern raised was the acute shortage of drinking water in Sercharan Para. Due to the irregular water supply for a prolonged period, residents have been facing severe hardship.Taking note of the situation, the District Magistrate instructed the concerned department officials to take immediate action. She assured that the issue would be thoroughly examined and necessary measures would be implemented at the earliest.Although the administration’s initiative has brought a sense of hope among the residents, they continue to demand swift and effective action to resolve the crisis.
