Allegation Of Money Disappearing From An SBI Account Without The Customer’s Knowledge.

Khowai, Tripura, 30th of April 2026 : According to report, Tapas Debbarma, a customer of State Bank of India, has alleged that an unknown person withdrew ₹9,000 from his bank account. He stated that he had taken an agricultural loan from the SBI Khowai branch four months ago and had withdrawn ₹72,000 from the account as per procedure. A few days later, when he visited the bank again to deposit a loan installment, he noticed that ₹9,000 had already been withdrawn from his loan account by unknown individuals, leaving him shocked.

The matter was reported to the bank authorities today, and they have assured that a proper investigation will be carried out. It is known that several agencies are involved in facilitating agricultural loans of State Bank of India, handling documentation and assessing the repayment capacity of customers. However, serious allegations of financial irregularities have been raised against some of these agents from various quarters. It now remains to be seen what steps the bank authorities will take regarding these complaints in the coming days.
