Dharmanagar, Tripura, 12th of May 2026 : The North Tripura District Congress organized a protest rally in Dharmanagar on Tuesday evening against the alleged NEET examination question paper leak and other irregularities in the exam process. The rally began from the District Congress office in Dharmanagar, marched through various important roads of the town, and concluded back at the Congress office.

During the procession, Congress workers and supporters raised slogans against the Central Education Department and expressed strong resentment over the alleged NEET paper leak incident. According to district Congress leaders, severe mismanagement and corruption in the country’s education system are responsible for such incidents, putting the future of millions of students at risk.Speaking to reporters, District Congress President Digbijoy Chakraborty said, “The Central Education Department has completely failed in handling the NEET paper leak issue. Taking moral responsibility for this incident, the Union Education Minister should resign immediately.”
Among those present in the protest rally were Congress leader Kebel Kanti Nandi, Youth Congress leader Nirupam Dey, along with several district Congress leaders, workers, and supporters. The Congress party demanded that the central government take immediate and effective measures to ensure a transparent and corruption-free education system and bring all those involved in the incident under strict punishment. The district Congress leadership also warned of launching a larger movement in the coming days if no action is taken.
