Agartala, Tripura, 22nd of May 2026 : With the initiative of All India Radio celebrated 90th anniversary at Agartala, Tripura on Friday (22nd May, 2026).
On this auspicious occasion of 90th anniversary, All India Radio organized a symbolic marathon today. The marathon began early in the morning on 22nd May, 2026 from the north gate of All India Radio Agartala, proceeded up to the Gandhi statue, and then returned to the office premises.
Internationally renowned gymnast Dipa Karmakar and Dronacharya Award-winning coach Bishweshwar Nandi flag off symbolic marathon organized by All India Radio Agartala to mark the 90th anniversary of All India Radio.
The symbolic marathon was ceremonially flagged off by internationally renowned gymnast Dipa Karmakar and Dronacharya Award-winning coach Bishweshwar Nandi. Their presence created special enthusiasm among the participants.
In the men’s category, Tanmoy Bhowmik secured the first position, while Palash Debnath finished second. In the women’s category, Debolina Lodh secured the first position, Arijita Saha finished second, and Shubhashree Saha secured the third position. Prizes and certificates of honour were presented to the winners.
The symbolic marathon, organized to commemorate the glorious 90-year journey of All India Radio, witnessed participation from officials, employees, artists, listeners of All India Radio, as well as sports enthusiasts from various sections of society. Through the event, messages promoting a healthy lifestyle, social harmony, and the traditional role of All India Radio were highlighted.
