Dharmanagar, Tripura, 30th of May 2026 : A high-level DLOG and NCORD meeting was organized on Friday (30th May, 2026) at the conference hall of the Superintendent of Police’s office, focusing on improving law and order, securing border areas, and combating drug-related crimes in North Tripura.

The meeting was chaired by North Tripura Superintendent of Police, Avinash Rai. Among those present were the Commandant of the 13th Battalion TSR, senior district police officials, representatives from the Special Branch, Border Security Force (BSF), TSR, intelligence agencies, and various concerned departments.The meeting focused on enhancing inter-departmental coordination, increasing surveillance in border areas, improving intelligence sharing, and preventing illegal infiltration and cross-border crimes.
Special emphasis was also placed on curbing drug trafficking, illegal narcotics trade, and protecting the youth from the menace of substance abuse through stringent measures. Officials from different agencies stressed the need for joint operations in border areas, close monitoring of suspicious activities, and rapid exchange of intelligence.
Particular attention was given to adopting coordinated strategies to prevent illegal activities along North Tripura’s international border.According to district police officials, all agencies will continue to work together in conducting strict and sustained operations to maintain peace and order, ensure border security, and build a drug-free society in the district.
