Khowai, Tripura, 7th of June 2026 : The stolen cattle were seized by Khowai Police while conducting night patrol duty on Saturday (6th June, 2026).

According to Khowai Police Station Officer-in-Charge Krishnadhan Sarkar, thieves broke into a cowshed in the border-adjacent Mora Nadi area late on Friday night and made away with four cattle belonging to Sanjay Ghosh, son of Mahadev Ghosh.
At around the same time, Sub-Inspector Debaprasad Chakraborty of Khowai Police Station, who was on night patrol duty, intercepted the cattle near the Khowai Park area. The cattle were subsequently taken to the police station, leading to the recovery of the stolen animals.
Local residents have expressed their appreciation for Khowai Police, crediting their night patrol operations for the successful recovery of the stolen cattle.
Locals praised the effectiveness of the police’s night patrol operations, stating that they were instrumental in recovering the stolen cattle. The owner also expressed heartfelt thanks to Khowai Police for their quick response.
