Agartala, Tripura, 8th of June 2026 : Based on secret information, West Police Station carried out multiple operations across the city and successfully recovered 25 lost mobile phones along with a substantial quantity of stolen gold ornaments. The recovered jewellery is estimated to be worth approximately ₹35 lakh.

In compliance with the court’s orders, the recovered items were officially returned to their owners on Sunday (7th June, 2026). Present at the event were Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, Officer-in-Charge Rana Chatterjee of West Agartala Police Station, and other senior officials of the police department.
According to Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak stated that separate cases were registered at West Police Station following two theft incidents reported on April 9 and April 23. Through sustained investigation, the police successfully recovered the stolen gold ornaments and the missing mobile phones.

He also stated that ten individuals have been arrested in connection with the two cases. Owing to the swift efforts of the police, the recovered valuables were successfully handed back to their legitimate owners.
