Memorial Meeting Held In Dharmanagar In Memory Of Late Minister Foyzur Rahman; Manik Sarkar Attends.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 25th of June 2026 : A memorial meeting was organized at the Vivekananda Sardha Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Dharmanagar to pay tribute to former Minister Foyzur Rahman, who recently passed away.Among those present were Manik Sarkar, CPI(M) State Secretariat member Amitabha Dutta, MLAs Shailendra Chandra Nath and Islam Uddin, Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Secretary Ratan Roy, District Secretary Abhijit Deb, along with several party leaders, workers, and well-wishers.

The program began with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Foyzur Rahman. A one-minute silence was also observed in memory of the departed leader.Speakers at the meeting recalled Rahman’s long political career, his people-centric work, and his unwavering commitment to public welfare. They highlighted that he was not only a popular elected representative but also a compassionate leader who stood by people in times of joy and hardship. His contributions to regional development, education, healthcare, and social welfare continue to be remembered with respect and admiration.

Addressing the gathering as the chief speaker, former chief minister Manik Sarkar described Foyzur Rahman as a principled and dedicated political figure who devoted his life to safeguarding the rights and welfare of ordinary people. He stated that Rahman’s ideals and work would continue to inspire future generations.Other speakers also paid heartfelt tributes, reflecting on different aspects of the late leader’s active public life and service to society.

A large number of party workers, supporters, and local residents attended the memorial meeting.The program concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the ideals and values cherished by the late Foyzur Rahman and carry forward his legacy.
