Sonamura, Tripura, 8th of July, 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total 200 Gram Yaba Tablets at Srimanntapur border road side, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Tuesday (7th July 2026) night.
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station during mobile duty at Srimanntapur border road side recovered and seized total-200 Gram Yaba Tablets into 10 nos. packets. After that, it was seized following all legal formalities as unclaimed.
The destination market value of the seized Yaba Tablets is approximately to be 2 Lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal Yaba Tablets.
OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
