Dharmanagar, Tripura, 8th of July 2026 : The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Dharmanagar Nagar Unit, has inaugurated the three-day ABVP Knockout Kabaddi Tournament 2026. The opening ceremony was held at 5:30 PM at the Gouri Shekhar Roy Indoor Sports Hall, premises to the BBI Complex in Dharmanagar. According to the organizers, the tournament will be held from July 6 to July 8, 2026.
The primary objective of the event is to encourage young people to lead a healthy, disciplined, and united life through sports. The organizers also emphasized the importance of reducing excessive mobile phone usage and motivating the younger generation to participate more actively in outdoor games and sports.
Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were, Bibhabasu Goswami, Assistant Director of the North District Sports Department; Sayan Malakar, Khelo Bharat Convener of ABVP Tripura Pradesh; Sayan Ghosh, Sub-Divisional Convener of North Tripura District; along with other distinguished were present at the event.
The ABVP Dharmanagar Nagar Unit invited students, supporters, sports enthusiasts, and members of the general public to attend the tournament and cheer for the participating teams. The organizers expressed confidence that, with the wholehearted participation of everyone, the Kabaddi tournament would be a grand success and a memorable sporting event.
