Agartala, Tripura, 17th of July 2026 : Self-enumeration as part of the ‘Census 2027’ is going to start across the state from July 17 and will continue upto July 31. Through this system citizens of the state could register their details on the www.se.census.gov.in portal from home. He informed that 33 information ranging from status of homestead, drinking water, electricity to toilet, Internet etc. have to be filled in by the self-enumerator. By providing mobile number of any of the family members all these details could be uploaded on the portal following which an SE-ID number will be given.
At the press conference Director Ratan Biswas also informed that afterwards from August 1 to August 30 house listing and housing census will be done. During this process, officials will go door to door and verify the data again. The SE-ID will have to be shown to the official at that time and the filled-in details will be ensured then. However, if any wrong information is provided during the self-enumeration, that could also be rectified at that time. The self-enumeration will in fact save a lot of time.
