In the series of ‘Special Operations” by BSF Tripura’s endeavor is to defeat the ill designs of trans-border Smugglers on the Indo-Bangladesh International Border. On the night intervening 01/02 June 2022, BSF troops apprehended 02 suspects, rescued 17 cattle, seized 1225 Nos Yaba Tablets and assorted contraband items having combined value of Rs.1,21,33,321/- in different operations.
On 01st June 2022, based on specific BSF intelligence regarding transportation of huge consignment of contraband items in a vehicle from Agartala to border areas; a special operation party comprising of BSF troops of 109 Bn BSF with officials of PS-Outpost Hrishiyamukh intercepted vehicle Registration No.TR-07-1610 near Village West Pilak, Jolaibari area. During the search of the said vehicle, party seized 01 SML Truck(TR-07-1610), 41 bundles of clothing items containing 3027 Nos sarees, 228 Nos Lehengas & Mobile phone with a value of Rs.1,09,29,500/-. Apprehended persons along with the seized items were handed over to PS-Belonia for further disposal.
In another operation, on 01st June 2022, acting on specific intelligence inputs regarding stocking of narcotics items in the premises of a house belonging to one Anamul Islam Choudhary (29 Yrs), S/o Gedu Mia, R/o Bhagiyapur , BSF troops of 139 Bn BSF carried out a search operation in presence of other members of said village. During through search, party recovered 1225 Nos Yaba Tablets & 02 Kgs Ganja total seizure worth Rs.6,30,500/-.
Vigilant BSF troops deployed on the extreme frontiers of the country in Tripura are effectively guarding the International Border and seizing various contraband items on regular basis from the bordering areas.
