Har Ghar Tiranga Fifth Edition To Be Celebrated From August 9-17.

Agartala, Tripura, 8th of August, 2026 : As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ in 2022. This year fifth edition of the campaign will be celebrated from August 917. Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs department Kiran Gitte informed this today at a press conference held at the secretariat.

The ICA secretary said, Har Ghar Tiranga will encourage the citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes. This campaign aims at developing a personal connect with the national flag, paying respect to the freedom fighters and igniting patriotism. This year’s celebration programmes will be dedicated to the 150th year observance of Vande Mataram’. So, this year’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ celebrations will feature Tiranga rally, exhibition, Tiranga concert, bike and cycle rally at district, block and panchayat level, Tiranga illumination, decoration and Rangoli making, ‘Tiranga Salute’ to ‘Vande Mataram’, selfie with the Tiranga etc..

The ICA secretary further informed that the state level ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally will be organized at 4.30 pm on August 11 and Chief Minister will inaugurate the rally. The rally will start from Ujjayanta Palace, to end at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhava after passing through different streets of the city. On that day Tiranga exhibition and Tiranga concert will also be organized at Rabinda Satabarshiki Bhavan. In addition to the state-level programme, similar programmes will be organized in every district.

Har Ghar Tiranga campaign emphasises participation of the students and youths, clubs and NGOs. Like previous years, this time also the state government has taken necessary measures to make the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a success. The director of the ICA department Bimbisar Bhattacharya was also present at the press conference.
