Chief Minister Of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates Supra Multispeciality Hospital.

Agartala, Tripura, 10th of August, 2026 : Inauguration ceremony of Supra Multispeciality Hospital at old motor stand in Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (9th August, 2026). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Supra Multispeciality Hospital.

Addressing at the inauguration ceremony of Supra Multispeciality Hospital Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the present Government is a welfare government. Prioritising welfare and development of the people of all sections, government is implementing various developmental programmes. Taking the faith and confidence of every citizen of the state into account, the government is marching ahead towards development. The government is working for the people’s welfare, rising above political lines.

The Chief Minister said, the state has seen remarkable improvement in its healthcare system after implementation of several infrastructure projects during the last few years. The digital healthcare service, tele-medicine facility, trauma centre, transplantation service etc. have expanded over the years. The bed capacity of GBP Hospital has been increased to 1413 now. The intake capacity has not only been increased in the hospitals of Agartala, but also in the district hospitals and healthcare facility has been improved as well. This reduced the number of referred patients. He said that the patients have to keep faith in the healthcare facilities of the state. And by doing that the trend to go outside the state for treatment purpose should be minimised further. They can now avail of advanced treatment within the state.

Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister remarked that a 100-bed eye hospital will be established in the state. He said, besides improving the healthcare service in the hospitals, initiative has been taken to open Bharat Mata Canteen to facilitate existence of the persons accompanying a patient from remote area. He said, significant success has been noticed in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Screening of various diseases is being done under Mukhyamantri Niramay Arogya Yojana. Initiative has been taken to establish a medical college and hospital in TTAADC area. The state has attained remarkable success in the vaccination of childrenand adolescents as it has recorded 100 per cent success in Mukhyamantri Sustha Shoishab Sustha Koishore Abhiyan.

Amidst the other distinguished leaders there were Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA Dipak Majumder and many others remained present in the programme.. Welcome address was delivered by the architect of Supra Multispeciality Hospital Suresh Chandra Debnath and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Rajib Debnath, MD of the hospital. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a mega blood donation camp organized there.
