The 124 Bn CRPF jawans did appreciable deed to provide food packets amidst the children of Orphanage of Anwesha Homes in Ushabazar in West Tripura and edible articles amidst the flood affected victims here in Panchayat Colony, ward no 2 in Uttar Champamura, old Agartala today. As per the report, under the able guidance and supervision of the battalion commandant Mukesh Tyagi the battalion soldiers have collected expenditure amount from the battalion soldiers as they do not have any governmental provision for this generous purppse and managed food packets for the children of Anwesha Homes and edible articles for the flood affected victims.
The battalion jawans directly visited to Anwesha Homes and met the orphanage children and interacted with them. The sources said that the children of the orphanage are in scarcity of food and when the 124 battalion CRPF came to know regarding the suffering of the children they rushed to the orphanage and distributed food packets to 109 children of the institution. In the other hand the battalion soldiers reached to the flood affected victims and distributed different kinds of food articles to distressed people and given them consolation over the situation. The poor river bank inhabitants in Panchayat Colony are in great problem and starving due to flood hindrance. Some families are homeless as their habitations have been submerged in flood. The distressed victims have received the assistance provided by the CRPF and felt happiness in this crisis moments. They have appreciated the philanthropic initiative of the battalion and thanked them for their kind hearted contribution.
