Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers  Presents A Special ‘TEACHERS DAY’ Celebrations.

Kolkatta, West Bengal / Agartala, Tripura, 7th of September, 2026 : Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers presented a special event to celebrate ‘Teachers Day’ at Gyan Manch, Kolkata, on 5th September in association with House 54 and Presidency University’s Department of Performing Arts.

The programme of the day began with ‘Shikkhok Pronam’- a tribute to linguist Pabitra Sarkar and national award-winning film director Pradipta Bhattacharya.

Rupak Saha – Director, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers and Dhiman Mitra, Director, House 54 – felicitated the two esteemed teachers on a day dedicated to teachers.

And the audience gave the two much celebrated role models a standing ovation.

“As a teacher who studies words, your kindness has left me speechless. Thank you all,” said Pabitra Sarkar.

On this occasion, Praditpta Bhattacharya said,” You all know I prefer being behind the camera rather than in the spotlight. Special thanks to Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers for this recognition.”

Thereafter, the curtain went up for ‘Taray Taray’ (Amid the Stars), a much awaited return of a hugely popular play that drew inspiration from the novel “Tarabhora Akasher Niche” by Srijato and parallels with the life and times of Vincent Van Gogh … and with much woven around his paintings – particularly ‘The Starry Night’.

‘Taray Taray’ has been directed by Kaushik Sen and the talented cast included Kaushik Sen, Reshmi Sen, Riddhi Sen, Surangana Bandyopadhyay and Rajarshi Nag

After the play, the curtain came down to a thunderous applause in the auditorium that was packed to capacity.

And the event concluded with Kaushik Sen taking a bow with the two exalted teachers – Pabitra Sarkar and Pradipta Bhattacharya – and Rupak Saha.
