Khowai, Tripura, 11th of September, 2026 : The Democratic Youth Federation of India and Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) Khowai Divisional Committees submitted a deputation to the Khowai District Magistrate on Thursday (10th September, 2026), raising a three-point charter of demands. The deputation was submitted at around 1 PM at the Khowai District Magistrate’s Office.
According to the report, a proposal raised by the Opposition in the State Assembly regarding employment opportunities and recruitment for unemployed youths was defeated and rejected through voting due to the ruling party’s majority. The organisation’s leaders expressed strong resentment over the development.
Additionally, the organisation demanded a proper and impartial investigation into the death of the DGP. It called for the investigation to be conducted by a former High Court judge to ensure that the actual facts behind the death are brought to light.

Highlighting their three-point demands, the organisation’s leaders submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate on Thursday.
They demanded that the administration take swift and effective steps to ensure employment opportunities for the unemployed, transparency in the recruitment process, and an impartial investigation into the death of the DGP.
Amidst the distinguished leaders there were DYFI Khowai Divisional Secretary Gautam Pal, along with other leaders and party workers were present in the event.
