Hyderabad, Telangana, 17th of September, 2026 : CARE Hospitals has launched its ‘Swasth Rath’, a community healthcare outreach initiative aimed at bringing basic health screenings closer to people and creating greater awareness about preventive healthcare. The Swasth Rath was flagged off at CARE Hospitals, Malakpet, by Mr. Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi, MLC, AIMIM, in the presence of Mr. Murari, Inspector of Police, Chadarghat; Praveen Kumar Edla, Hospital Chief Operating Officer, CARE Hospitals, Malakpet; Dr. Sridhar, MOD; and senior doctors from the hospital.
The specially equipped Swasth Rath will travel across various parts of Hyderabad, reaching neighbourhoods, community centres, residential areas, public parks, senior citizen clubs and other community locations. It will offer basic health screenings and create awareness about preventive healthcare. People will also be encouraged to undergo regular health check-ups to help identify potential health concerns early and seek timely medical advice when required.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi, MLC, AIMIM, said, “The closer healthcare services are to people, the greater the benefit to the community. Swasth Rath is a good initiative that brings basic health screenings directly to neighbourhoods and community spaces. Timely health check-ups can help identify many health concerns at an early stage. I appreciate CARE Hospitals for undertaking this initiative for the health and well-being of the people. I encourage people to make use of the health screenings and services being offered through Swasth Rath.”
Mr. Murari, Inspector of Police, Chadarghat, said, “Community health initiatives like Swasth Rath can make a meaningful difference by reaching people where they live and creating greater awareness about preventive healthcare. I appreciate CARE Hospitals for taking this initiative into neighbourhoods and encourage people to make use of the health screenings being offered.”
Praveen Kumar Edla, Hospital Chief Operating Officer, CARE Hospitals, Malakpet, said, “Along with providing quality medical care, it is equally important to create greater awareness about preventive healthcare. Through Swasth Rath, we are taking basic health screenings closer to where people live. Our aim is to encourage people to undergo timely health check-ups rather than waiting until a health problem becomes serious.”
Beneficiaries reached through Swasth Rath will also be offered complimentary memberships to CARE Sangham, CARE Hospitals’ family-focused community connect initiative, and Pranaam, its dedicated engagement platform for senior citizens. Through these initiatives, people will have an opportunity to stay connected with relevant health and wellness information and programmes.
The launch of Swasth Rath is part of CARE Hospitals’ continued efforts to strengthen preventive healthcare and community outreach by making basic health screenings and health awareness more accessible to people across Hyderabad.
