PM Narendra Modi Has Brought Smiles To The Faces Of The Poor: MP Biplab Kumar Deb.

Agartala, Tripura, 18th of September, 2026 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought smiles to the faces of poor people, said Hon’ble MP Biplab Kumar Deb at a programme organised at Ujjayanta Palace premises on Thursday (17th September, 2026) as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. He said several welfare schemes have been launched for the poor since the present government came to power at the Centre in 2014, and people across the country are benefiting from them. He said PM Modi has taken India to a remarkable position internationally, with the country receiving appreciation for its diplomatic and economic relations with various nations. He also highlighted India’s economic progress under Modi’s leadership and wished the Prime Minister a long life, saying, “Narendra Modi means development.”

Addressing at the programme, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee said PM Narendra Modi has played a significant role in Indian politics for a long time and has led the country since 2014 after serving as Gujarat Chief Minister. He highlighted Modi’s contribution to Tripura’s development, particularly the expansion of railway connectivity with different parts of the country.

Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, in his welcome address, said various schemes introduced after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister have brought significant changes to the lives of ordinary people. He also highlighted improvements in Tripura’s infrastructure and connectivity. West Tripura Zilla Parishad acting Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil delivered the vote of thanks. Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, West District Magistrate Dr. Bishal Kumar and others were present. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of lamps.
