Agartala, Tripura, 19th of September, 2026 : Vishwakarma Puja was observed throughout the state with traditional rituals, devotion, and festive spirit on Friday (18th September 2026). The occasion was marked with prayers and special puja ceremonies dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, regarded as the divine architect and patron deity of artisans, craftsmen, engineers, and workers.

Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated on the last day of Bengali Bhadra month. It is also referred as Bhadra Sankranti or Kanya Sankranti. Vishwakarma Puja is the most important and auspicious day for artisans. Vishwakarma Puja is an auspicious day dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma who is known to be the divine architect. Lord Vishwakarma is the creator of all the palaces of Hindu Gods and Goddesses along with their weapons and vehicles. The festival of Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma every year.
