Shoolini University Achieves New Milestone.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, 2nd of October, 2026 : Emerging from the Himalayan region and strengthening its identity on the global academic stage, Shoolini University has been ranked among the world’s Top 500 universities for the third consecutive year. In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, the university has been placed in the 451–500 band, securing the third position in India. Shoolini is the third Indian institution to feature in the Top 500, after the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and the Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences.

University Founder Chancellor Prof. P.K. Khosla said, “Our objective was to ensure that a university located in the Himalayan region could compete with some of the best universities in the world. Our goal is to enter the world’s Top 200 universities within the next three years.”

Shoolini has secured the 184th position globally in Research Quality, while it has ranked third in India in International Outlook. Pro Chancellor Prof. Vishal Anand said, “Securing a place in the Top 500 once is certainly an achievement. But remaining in the list for three consecutive years is more challenging, as it requires consistent effort and performance every year. This result reflects the efforts of everyone who has continuously contributed to Shoolini’s progress.”

The THE World University Rankings 2027 feature 2,297 institutions from around the world, including 143 institutions from India. The achievement highlights Shoolini University’s growing global presence in research, international collaboration and higher education.
