IndianOil Holds Sensitisation Programme On India Energy Week 2027 And MC² At IIT Guwahati.

Guwahati, Assam, 4th of October, 2026 : IndianOil AOD State Office in association with the Technology Incubation Centre, IIT Guwahati organised a sensitisation programme on India Energy Week (IEW) 2027 and MC² at IIT Guwahati, on Saturday (3rd October, 2026) .

The programme focused on creating awareness about India Energy Week 2027, which is scheduled to be held at Kolkata from 28^th to 31^st January  2027. The fifth edition of IEW will be held under the theme “Unlocking Innovation, Securing Energy, Shaping Tomorrow” and is expected to bring together more than 75,000 energy professionals and over 700 international exhibitors.

On this occasion, Shri Nitin Bhatnagar, Executive Director and State Head, IndianOil AOD State Office, addressed the gathering. Shri Sunil Kanti, Executive Director and Refinery Head, Guwahati Refinery, Shri Dilip Goenka, industrialist from Assam, and Prof. Sukumar Nandi, Dean of Administration, IIT Guwahati, shared their views on innovation, entrepreneurship and the energy sector.

A dedicated session was also held on MC² Foundation, a national energy innovation platform that seeks to support promising ideas by taking them from the concept stage to pilot, scale and market through collaboration among industry, academia and startups.

The sensitisation programme was followed by a panel discussion featuring four emerging startups from the Northeast. The startup founders presented their innovative ideas, technologies and entrepreneurial experiences. The discussion focused on the opportunities and challenges involved in developing technology-driven solutions for the evolving energy sector. The discussion was moderated by Smt. Urmi Buragaohain, CEO, Technology Incubation Centre, IIT Guwahati, and Prof. Sajjan Kapil, IIT Guwahati.

The programme was attended by senior officials from IndianOil, IIT Guwahati, industry representatives and emerging startups from the Northeast.
