Jampuijala, Tripura, 5th of October, 2026 : A remarkable agricultural transformation is taking place at Lily Producer Group (PG) of East Takarjala VC under Jampuijala RD Block, where dedicated PG members have converted previously uncultivated land into a productive bottle gourd cultivation field, creating a promising source of income for the community.
With support from the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP) and the adoption of scientific Package of Practices (PoP), the members of Lily PG have embraced improved cultivation techniques and collective farming practices. Their efforts are now yielding encouraging results.

Till date, the PG members have sold 1,867 pieces of bottle gourd, generating total revenue of ₹1,49,333, while harvesting and marketing activities are still continuing. The achievement demonstrates the potential of transforming unused land into productive agricultural assets through scientific farming, collective action and institutional support.
The initiative also highlights the meaningful contribution of Ms. Archana Saha, Cluster Coordinator, Agriculture-Horticulture Sector, whose field-level guidance and coordination are supporting the PG towards achieving important milestones under the agriculture sector of TRESP.
The success of Lily PG reflects how TRESP is helping tribal communities convert available resources into sustainable livelihood opportunities, while promoting modern agricultural practices, teamwork and income generation at the grassroots level.
