Agartala, Tripura, 5th of October 2026 : As part of the ongoing Bir Bikram Ekta Camp / Special National Integration Camp (SNIC–I), Agartala 2026–27, the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC, under the aegis of the NCC Directorate, North Eastern Region, organised a series of educational, cultural, historical and adventure visits for approximately 400 NCC cadets participating in the camp.
The visits were aimed at providing cadets with first-hand exposure to Tripura’s rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, natural beauty and border areas, while strengthening the spirit of national integration, unity in diversity, environmental awareness, adventure and responsible citizenship.
Visit to Mata Tripureswari Temple, Udaipur
The cadets visited the revered Mata Tripureswari Temple at Udaipur, one of Tripura’s most important spiritual and cultural landmarks. The visit provided the cadets an opportunity to learn about the historical and religious significance of the temple and appreciate the rich heritage of the state.
Visit to Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary
The contingent also visited Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, where cadets experienced Tripura’s rich biodiversity and natural environment. The visit promoted awareness about wildlife conservation, environmental protection and the importance of preserving natural resources.

Visit to Neermahal, Melaghar
At Neermahal, Melaghar, the cadets witnessed the magnificent historic water palace locJtated in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake. The visit introduced them to Tripura’s royal heritage, distinctive architecture and cultural history, while providing an opportunity to appreciate one of the state’s most iconic tourist destinations.

Visit to Akhaura Border Area
The cadets further visited the Akhaura Integrated Check Post and adjoining border area, gaining valuable exposure to India’s international border management and the strategic importance of the region. The visit enhanced their understanding of border awareness, national security and the responsibilities of citizens towards the nation.

Adventure Activity – Paramotor Experience
Adding an exciting dimension to the programme, the cadets also participated in a paramotor adventure activity at Melaghar. The aerial adventure offered the young NCC cadets an unforgettable experience and encouraged courage, confidence, adventure spirit and the willingness to face new challenges.
The educational and recreational visits also enabled cadets from different parts of the country to interact with local communities, experience Tripura’s traditions and appreciate its diverse cultural landscape.
The programme successfully brought together tourism, heritage, environmental awareness, national-security education and adventure, making the visits an important component of the Bir Bikram Ekta Camp / SNIC–I.
The participation of around 400 NCC cadets reflected the NCC’s commitment to developing young citizens who are disciplined, confident, culturally aware, adventurous and committed to national integration and nation building.
The visit concluded with cadets carrying back memorable experiences, a deeper appreciation of Tripura’s heritage and natural beauty, and greater awareness of the state’s strategic and cultural significance.
