Following nine successful kidney transplants, the 10th and 11th kidney transplants were successfully completed on 5 October and 6 October 2026, respectively, by specialist urologists. The two kidney transplant procedures were carried out under the supervision of specialist doctors from Agartala Government Medical College & GBP Hospital, in collaboration with the Shija Hospital, Manipur kidney transplant team. On 5 October 2026, a kidney transplant was successfully performed on a 60-year-old woman from Nalua, Belonia subdivision, South Tripura. Her 38-year-old nephew from Agartala donated the kidney.
