Amarpur, Tripura, 10th of October 2026 : When the administration of Tripura is trying its heart and soul to demolish the deadly tendency of drugs and narcotics across the state some dishonest business men are promoting their drugs related business without any obstacles and fear in the society.
The same picture has appeared in Laxmichara under Baikhora PS in Shantir Bazar. Some people are raising allegation over the police responsibilities stating that why the PS officials are quiet without taking any strict action against these social enemies? As the local has raised allegation over an individual named Pradip Baidya running a shop in Laxmichara market under Baikhora PS in Shantir Bazar is affiliated with constant illegal wine dealing widely in Laxmichara market then why local police is fully inactive? Locals villagers said that he is selling foreign liquor and country made wine in large scale amidst the locals.
Some inhabitants have fingered to him and said that he is doing it without any fear continuously; defiling the society and destroying the life of the youths of this locality. Locals have raised accusation over the Baikhora PS authority stating that Laxmichara which is in the jurisdiction of the Baikhora PS day by day the promptness of the drugs addiction is increasing but the concerned police authority is in slumber. Public demanded immediate action over such destructive drugs tendency which is vanishing the healthy atmosphere of the society and most critical for the youths generation for their future life.
