RSS Holds Route March in Dharmanagar on Mahalaya.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 12th of October, 2026 : As part of the nationwide route march organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the occasion of Mahalaya, a North District-level route march under the Tripura Prant was held in Dharmanagar on Sunday (11th October, 2026).

The march began at the BBI Ground in Dharmanagar, with RSS volunteers proceeding in a disciplined manner through various streets of the town.The programme was organised as part of the Sangh’s nationwide initiative to mark the special significance of Mahalaya. As part of this initiative, Dharmanagar was chosen as the venue for the route march in North Tripura district. The event reflected the district’s participation in the organisation’s broader nationwide programme.

Mahalaya holds special significance in Bengali culture, marking the end of Pitru Paksha and the beginning of Devi Paksha. The day carries immense cultural and religious importance, as it heralds the arrival of the festive season ahead of Durga Puja.The route march, which started from the BBI Ground and passed through various roads in the town, was attended by RSS members and leaders.
