Sonamura, Tripura, 13th of October, 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total 26.5 kg dry Cannabis (Ganja) at Batadola, Srimantapur border road of different side under Sepahijala District on Monday (12th October, 2026) night.
According to Sonamura PS during patrolling duty at during patrolling duty at Batadola, Srimantapur border road of different side recovered and seized total- 26.5 Kg,s dry ganja as unclaimed. After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed.
In this regard one specific case registered at Sonamura PS under NDPS act. The destination market value of NDPS items is approximately to be thirteen lakhs twenty-five thousand only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police have started an investigation as to who could be the owner of this illegal seizes ganja. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
